Website design

In today’s increasingly interconnected world, establishing a website presence is an invaluable tool to increase your profile, sell your artwork, promote your business or simply share your quilts with a wider audience. I have been building websites since 2002 and offer affordable website design and development services producing websites that are mobile-responsive, attractive, functional and easy to navigate.

Depending upon your individual requirements, I can also assist you in: domain name registration; selection of webhosting services; preparation of images; search engine optimisation; uploading the files to the relevant server; and ongoing maintenance.

In addition to WordPress and Woocommerce, I am familiar with Squarespace, Ruzuku, Mailchimp, Gravity Forms and Jotform. Online entry forms a specialty.

For this website, I use and recommend:

StudioPress Theme of the Month

  • WordPress.org – WordPress is not just for blogging. It is a powerful content management system. What’s more, it’s free and easy to use.
  • Premium Themes on the Genesis Framework – the Genesis Framework software sits on top of WordPress to manage the appearance of the website and other functionality. I’m using the Prose theme, a mobile responsive premium theme with point-and-click design controls that allows you to style your site without coding. Paying for a Genesis premium theme, a one time purchase with unlimited updates, makes it even easier to design, maintain and update my website.

Contact me to discuss your website needs. Some of the above links are affiliate links, meaning I may receive a payment or other benefit if you use my link to make a purchase (at no extra cost to you). I only recommend products and services I strongly believe in and use myself.

This year (2026) marks the 20th anniversary of the This year (2026) marks the 20th anniversary of the Australasian Quilt Convention. The entrance features a display of the brochure covers over the years and it was fun to identify 3 covers that include snippets of exhibits that I was involved with.

⭐️ 2009 was my first AQC. I was a tutor and my contribution to the “teach me” exhibit was “Grass” that you can see in the lower right corner.

⭐️ in 2013, the Twelve by Twelve International Art Quilt Project shared the Colourplay series which included a piece by @studioconway highlighting the plight of refugees in drought (see centre left)

⭐️ in 2020 the chronology was disrupted by the Covid pandemic but not before the brochure was published with “The Fuchsia’s Looking Bright m” by @darlingdi from @vision2020textiles who poseda poignant question: Will my optimistic dream of a brighter future turn out to be 2020 vision, or just a fun and fabulous fabric fusion of my favourite colours?

Congratulations to @craft.events_ on the 20th Anniversary 🤩
