For a long time I have been anticipating the beginning of July and all its ATQS [After the Quilt Show] wonder. Silly me forgot that there’s still so much to do. Not the least being unpacking 25+ quilts and reuniting them with their makers. The logistics of staging such an exhibition are truly remarkable sometimes!
Among the many things on my ATQS list, is doing some more work on this medallion quilt:
This photo was taken in October 2004, coincidentally when I first took up the position of Exhibition Secretary, and I’ve made precisely no progress since this date. Time to pull out the applique needles…

And of course you saw Erica from DUQ’s request today for pics of medallion quilts, hmmm? *whipcrack* I’d love to see this in a mag!

Yes Kirsty – this is an Anne Scott design that featured in New Zealand Quilter magazine back in 2003 or 2004. I’ve never been great at hand applique but I’ve enjoyed working on this quilt.

… and put down the secretary’s pen?
