OK folks, you can stop sending me those winning e-mails now. The draw for Edna’s hexagon treasures from Liberty of London has CLOSED. The names have been put into a hat (well bucket actually), Marge did the honours and the fortunate recipient is… Susan (Smudges in Time) from Hampton Park, Victoria who wrote:
Hi Brenda! I would love to have my name put into the hat pretty please! I have slowly been accumulating a collection of liberty fabrics, they are just the most divine fabrics to stroke and fondle, but I have found they are so hard to come by, most of my collection was given to me by my church ministers wife who is English and had some left overs from various projects. I was planning a grandmothers flower garden quilt with my collection but didn’t want to cut into them until I had enough and could plan it out, so would love to be able to get started with these and add mine in as I go! I am normally a “machine only” quilter but need something I can do in front of the TV so I can spend at least some time with hubby LOL! Oh and I solemnly swear that I would most certainly not even consider onselling such a treasure!
To the 70+ (gasp!) others who e-mailed me, I promise that the drawing was totally random but I did enjoy receiving all the stories of what you would do with the hexagons if you won and how much you all truly, madly LOVE English paper piecing. For her part, 89 year old Edna is “tickled pink”that the hexagons are going to a good home.
