First of all, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has followed my blog to its new home; updated their RSS feeds, or subscribed for the first time; updated their links to point to my new address www.serendipitypatchwork.com.au/blog or have simply left a comment.
I have previously written about blogging etiquette and the art of making comments. It is one thing to know from your statistics that you have visitors to your blog but it is extra uplifting to read a comment and to know what you have written has been thought provoking and enjoyed. Not, I hasten to add, that I am feeling neglected. (Actually, since I am having to go through the process of manually inserting author links on my comments after moving my blog, I am quite happy that there were not more comments on my historic posts. Fortunately WordPress has superior comment management to Blogger so this process is not as arduous as it could be.)
One of the features of my new blog layout is the “Recent Comments” section in my sidebar. This lists recent comments made on the blog regardless of the date of the post that is being commented on. So if you happen to have a comment on something I wrote back in 2006, do send it in and it will still show up in the “Recent Comments” section for everyone to see.
I am about to leave a comment (or three!) on Sharon b’s blog in a minute ago as I have just worked out how to register for comments. When I first started blogging and reading blogs, I didn’t fully appreciate the depth of knowledge and generosity in Sharon’s blog and skipped over it. Only recently have I rediscovered it and realised what I have been missing out on. I especially enjoyed Sharon’s reflections on three years of blogging and am now vicariously enjoying everyone’s embroidery explorations in her Take a Stitch Tuesday challenge. If you have discovered a new (if only to you!) favourite blog, do leave the link details so that we can check it out too. Remember, here is the magic code for embedding links:

Brenda –
Thanks for commenting on my blog! Your Color Rhapsody class sounds great and I love the title! You create gorgeous quilts and you certainly have a mastery of color.

Brenda,
I agree with you re Sharon B’s site she is most generous with her information.
I also read your piece on Blog Etiquette but must go back and read it again as I managed, without trying, to offend someone.
I have picked up useful information from your site as well, not the least the threads you bought at Althea’s I am off to see what I can get online.
Thanks, Judy.
