Two of my works feature in Dare to Differ 2017, a biennial exhibition presented by the Quilters’ Guild of South Australia at Gallery M – Marion Cultural Centre, Adelaide, South Australia from 1-25 September 2017. The first day of spring is a fitting debut for Blue Delphiniums, a monochromatic study building on motifs developed in my Wildflowers series. And it’s the first gallery outing for Landlines: Tussock Country. Thank you to Suzanne Gummow and the Dare to Differ 2017 exhibition committee for this opportunity to share my work. I look forward to seeing installation photos from the opening tonight.
Blue Delphiniums (98x89cm): Some people call them old-fashioned, but for me, blue delphiniums are a timeless reminder of grace and beauty.
Landlines: Tussock Country 120x119cm : Throughout Australia extensive areas of tussock grasslands have been cleared and replaced by exotic pasture species. This work celebrates the resilience of the remaining grasslands.
