Inspiration for Week 9 of my self-guided weekly art project comes from Bouddi National Park that adjoins the southern end of the beach here at Copacabana. The vegetation in the park ranges from scrubby heathland to expansive stands of gum trees. My particular favourite is the angophora with its orange-silver trunk and curvy branches.
I found it challenging to capture the wibbly wobbly form of angophora using a piecing technique in such a small work. It’s a subject, I hope to revisit soon. Anyone want to come for a hike with me?!

I look forward to seeing YOUR weekly art project. It’s not too late. New participants are welcome to join in at any time.
