I am not sure what made me happier. Coming home to a tidy studio, all ready for me to start sewing. Or coming home to the Laundry King’s workshop, cleared of builder’s debris and available for me to have a proper dyeing session for the first time in a year or so. With this unseasonably warm weather, dyeing won out. I am on an aqua and gold kick at the moment but threw in some purples, greens and earth tones for good measure.
While I am doing the rinsing, you might like to check out the photos from Quiltwest on the WA Quilters Blog inclduing Best of Show by Melodie Symes, a one-inch-block extravaganza.

It’s snowing in the South Island today and there is a cold, cold wind blowing up this way so I’m jealous of your unseasonably warm weather. Looks like you made the most of it.

nothing beats a days dyeing, your pots look lovely and cheery. What will you do with the fabric?
