I have never been a one-project-at-a-time kind of artist. I usually have several works in progress – a key project on the machine and design wall and various handwork and finishing projects for TV nights with the Laundry King. The last couple of projects on the design wall have been disappointing. I keep shuffling around components, adding new elements here and there, but they have not gelled.
I paused and made a 12x12in composition that was pleasing. Then I returned to the design wall and contemplated.
I turned up for work in the studio. I pushed on. But still the composition floundered. Time for drastic measures!
And so I have cleared the design wall and am starting afresh. Imagine the possibilities…
