As a finalist is the Gosford Art Prize, I am giving a floor talk (along with other artists) at Gosford Regional Gallery this Saturday, 20 October and again on Saturday, 17 November at 2pm.
This is the view as you enter the main gallery from the left hand side. (Image of Brittle Gums used with permission of the artist, Linda Joyce.)
I am honoured that my triptych Hope, Promise, Bounty: reap What You Sow was allocated such a position and the good lighting means that, for the first time, I have been able to get a photo that shows the hand stitching.
The gallery is a wonderful space and, with more than 150 works on display in a range of media, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The Japanese gardens adjoining the gallery are also quite charming, even in the rain.
Francoise says
Beautiful stitching Brenda.
I wish I could visit the gallery, (and have a cup of green tea with you).
Linda says
Me too!
Your pieces look stunning – great to see the detail & stitching.
