There has been great excitement and rejoicing in family circles today as my brother and his wife welcomed their first daughter (Sasha Lily) into this big wide world. I’ve been holding off writing anything until I have a photo or at least a name for my new niece but so far I have neither that will have to come later. At least her beach ball quilt is all finished and waiting for her in her nursery.
**Not to be confused with the family car game I’m an Ant where the “ant” positions themselves somewhere in the world and everyone else has to guess where by asking yes/no questions. This game can be surprisingly challenging when you are playing with younger family members with an under-developed sense of geography.
Erica says
Yay! All the waiting was worth it. Welcome to the world, Sasha Lily.
Amy says
I am an A(u)nt…. and I am somewhere in England.
Chantel says
that game used to drive me freaking nuts!! Quite surreal being an Aunt for the first time, as it will be a while before Sasha and I meet!
Amy says
You better beat me! I have a 12,000 km excuse!
Judy says
Brenda,
Congratulation Aunty, the quilt is lovely.
Shasta says
How cool is that! Both Sasha and Lily are names in our family. Congrats!
