My wedding anniversary is coming up this week and, rather than having to drive a considerable distance for an underwhelming restaurant meal, David and I have decided to dine in with a bottle of wine. For day-to-day dining, we each take turns at cooking and draw upon our personal recipe repertoire (some of which can be found on my Our Family Favourites blog). For this special meal, I would like to try something different but preferably still a tried and true recipe.
Deb is collecting favourite recipes over at Red Shoe Rambling and, although I’m not giving away a recipe book, I’m hoping that you might also leave me a link to your favourite romantic occasion food.
And if you think I’m angling to boost my comment count, you would be partly right. Thousands of people have visited my blog in recent weeks but very few have stopped to say hello. I’m feeling hungry for a response and some new recipes. The recipes don’t have to be elaborate and you get extra points if chocolate is involved.

it is a way back and I cannot remember the name of the post probably under home and garden.
There a shameless way to make you look.
Enjoy your feast.

I’m out and about or the day, but if you want me to track down my chocolate fondant or my orange and cardomon creme brule (that one is somewhere on http://cuisine.co.nz) send me a text and I’ll see what I can do.
It will be a tough job to beat the wedding food though!

Sorry – no recipes from me. My mother is on a low fat diet, my sister low carb, my daughter just has a handful of things she is willing to eat, and even those things aren’t acceptable in certain combinations – so things that I like tend to get rejected by at least one other person.
I will leave a comment for you though! The last two quilts you posted – the power stripping Kaffe Fassett and the one you showed the beautiful quilting on – are both wonderful.

our favorite romantic dinner is lamb chops that have been marinated in a Morroccan-style paste and then grilled… yum! If this tickles your fancy, I’ll send you the recipe. Great with a bottle of Pinot…

Thanks for the recipe suggestions (including Jane’s Chocolate Mousse). I found the Orange and Cardamom Creme Brulee recipe on the Cusine website but the Feijoa Creme Brulee sounds good too…
