All around the wattle flowers are coming into bloom:
Because I wanted more circle definition, this time I did not spritz the fabric. I also did a little stamping with the bottom of a Vegemite jar to achieve the dotted circle effect.
Yesterday’s painted piece has dried and is not at all stiff. I’ve ironed the back to fix the colour. Despite the instructions to do so in Gloria Loughman’s book, Luminous Landscapes, I’m not sure that I want to wash the piece…

Hi Brenda,
Love these painted pieces! Very nice indeed. Great minds must think alike – I have been painting some fun pieces with circle/pod shapes recently too. What sort of paint are you using?

I painted today too. Must be the wonderful weather. Mine are more landscape images but such fun isn’t it?

Now, why do I like this piece more than the first one?
Brenda says
I am using HI Strike fabric paints that I purchased from Gloria Loughman at Quilt Camp. I understand that Gloria sources her fabric paints from Batik Oetoro here in New South Wales. The paint leaves the fabric feeling lovely and soft.

Thanks Brenda
I don’t recognise this brand. Are they available in NZ?
