It takes two to tango

When Terry posted flamenco dancers on the Twelve by Twelve blog and remarked on how difficult “passion” is to simplify, I knew exactly what she was talking about. I had also been inspired by dancers and these sketches show my attempts to simplify a tango motif:

It’s also been a challenge to work with a saturated palette of analogous hues. All those reds and oranges merge together. For any kind of pattern to emerge, they need a foil. Throw in a little orange-yellow and things start to go a little wild. A touch of black is required to tame it down. Or something. The auditions contiinue.

  1. Brenda,

I’ll leave “Passion” to you, I cant imagine how to portray the subject, however I look forward to you and Twelve by Twelve showing me some ideas.
