On exhibition: Queensland Quilters Quilt Show 2019

17 October 2019 Filed Under: Exhibitions, Monthly Art Project, Taking Shape, Twelve by Twelve Leave a Comment

The Queensland Quilters Quilt Show is on at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre, South Bank, Brisbane until Sunday 20 October 9am to 4pm. Special exhibits include my Twelve by Twelve Theme Series and my personal 2018 Monthly Art Project Taking Shape: Cues from Nature.

It’s almost exactly 12 years since the Twelve by Twelve group was first formed. It had a profound effect on my creative practice. We worked together on challenges for five years, wrote a book and exhibited from 2010-2014 in seven different countries.

Thanks to Queensland Quilters for inviting me to share my artwork and for bringing back memories of that formative time with the Twelves.

My first full day in Marrakech was completed by a 3 hour food tour. A multi-sensory experience meandering through the medina. And, yes, I did get a teensy bit lost making my way back to the riad afterwards… @moroccanfoodadventures

My short time in Marrakech began with pouring rain and ended with a glorious sunset from a rooftop bar overlooking Koutoubia mosque against a backdrop of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. 🌴🌅
