When I made my first baby quilt, I had so much fun choosing my fabrics that I ended up with enough fat quarters to make several quilts. Fourteen years ago and nothing much has changed. My sister found this happy backing fabric (Happi by Dena™ with FreeSpirit) at Donna’s Quilt Studio in New Zealand:
As you do, she also purchased some coordinating fat quarters. She then sent the bundle over to me in time for some strategic shopping at the Sydney Quilt Show. I supplemented the stash with some lighter value fabrics. Here is the loot (and no, she is not expecting twins!):
