Melody 33 is the latest design in my Power Stripping series and features as a project in Issue 149 of Down Under Quilts. The piano key design is made from thirty three, 2 1/2in selvedge to selvedge strips. A great project for jelly rolls or designer strip sets or using the leftovers from other projects. Issue 149 is available as a print subscription or digital subscription and Down Under Quilts is currently offering a free, six month digital subscription. (Click for subscription information.)
I also share the secrets of Power Stripping, striking designs that grow quickly with minimum fuss and maximum fabric economy, in my Power Stripping Workshop. Choose from a selection of over a dozen original fresh designs or make up your own using colour and design principles shared in this workshop. Ideal for beginners seeking to master strip piecing skills or for more experienced quiltmakers looking for a fun and productive day of stash busting.
