I finished my orange colourplay quilt on Sunday. Now I just have a few pesky labels to do and my quilts will be ready to be dispatched to America for their exhibition tour with the Twelve by Twelve International Art Quilt Challenge:
In other news, I found out that both of the proposals that I submitted for Regeneration: Contemporary Quilt Textiles 2012 have been selected. One is a pieced and the other is a shibori triptych. Both pieces are due at the beginning of February (the exhibition is 27 April – 4 June 2012) so I have some busy dyeing and studio time ahead.

Hi Brenda. Congratulations on your (whatever they are calling the ‘New Quilt’) Exhib. this time. I looked at the conditions of entry. I just don’t work that way so I admire anyone who can stick to their original proposal. Cheers, Barbara.

Hi Barbara
I generally work quite improvisationally but, for this exhibition, I had a couple of broad concept ideas that I was able to put forward for consideration. It will be VERY interesting to see how the design evolves in the course of construction! I gather that the curator is keen for artists to share their design and execution process so it will be interesting to see how that sharing process develops too.
Thanks for stopping by.

Your colorplay collection looks yummy. And I spot a nice little orange binding down under… Can’t wait to see the quilt in a few days.

Hi Francoise, my quilts are in transit to Terry. Now I have to work out what to call my orange piece!
