I’m hanging out by my mailbox waiting for my copy of 500 Art Quilts. In the meantime, Terri kindly sent me a photo of the page where my quilt appears:
I understand that the images in the book have been sympathetically arranged according to colour and style. I share page 151 with fellow Australian textile artist Alison Muir. (Other Australians whose work appears in the book are Dianne Firth, Beth Miller and Margery Goodall.) The quilt on the facing page is by Nelda Warkentin.
Remember, all subscribers to my newsletter go into a draw to receive a copy of 500 Art Quilts. Sign up today!

Hi Brenda,
I too am excited to have my artwork selected for the 500 Art Quilts book.
I have just received my contributors copy in Queenstown, New Zealand where I now live. I was an Australian contemporary quilt maker in the mid 90’s, then living in the Blue Mountains, but now I see myself more as a New Zealand textile artist.
My piece ‘Last Light ‘ is on page 187, and it too is opposite an Alison Muir piece which i am also very pleased with as we were contemporarys together in the Mid 90’s and they work well together. I do loe your page as well. Your grasses piece has a lovely feel to it.

Congratulations Brenda – looks a lovely book – I’ll look out for it.
A pity the 12x12s aren’t coming to Perth!
