So I allocated a number to all my current newsletter subscribers, and everyone who has left an on-blog comment in recent days, and then used a random number generator to come up with the number – 78. I got goosebumps when I discovered that 78 means that Tickled Pink will be delivered to D*** who lives right here on the Central Coast. D*** has been an enthusastic student in some of my classes and I often bump into her at quilt exhibitions. She is also someone who has demonstrated supreme courage and resilience in her own encounter with breast cancer and I am more than tickled pink that my textile work is going to her:
PS: Here’s another photo of Tickled Pink showing the edges. I used the technique from my wholecloth finish tutorial which is ideal for smaller quilts and still shows off the quilting on the back. See my listing of Alternative Quilt Finishes for other tutorials.

I was just the other day thinking that art quilts have this tendency to be certain colours (rusty orange comes to mind) and then here is your pink one to give the unwritten rule a run for its money.
Your winner is a lucky person!

It sounds like the quilt has found the perfect home. Congratulations!
