To mark the 20th anniversary of my first baby quilt, I  have been reflecting on what I have learned along the way. Creative Backstory is a series of blog posts each highlighting a different year. The Art of Curating

14 September 2015 Filed Under: a matter of time, Australia Quilts Exhibition, Curator Knowledge, Education, Exhibition:Living Colour! 2 Comments

The art of curating brings three distinct imperatives: to select; to organise; and to look after the items in a collection or exhibition.  Drawing on my experience with Australia Quilts, Beneath the Southern Sky and Living Colour!, I reflect on the challenges and delights of these imperatives in an extended article in Issue #119 of […]

Return of Australia Quilts

After a fabulous time at the European Patchwork Meeting, the Laundry King are on our way back to Australia. The wifi at our B&B was pretty flaky (and non-existent for the last 24 hours) so I have been offline. Not that there has been much time for blogging anyway. Here is a quick selection of […]

My first full day in Marrakech was completed by a 3 hour food tour. A multi-sensory experience meandering through the medina. And, yes, I did get a teensy bit lost making my way back to the riad afterwards… @moroccanfoodadventures

My short time in Marrakech began with pouring rain and ended with a glorious sunset from a rooftop bar overlooking Koutoubia mosque against a backdrop of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. 🌴🌅
