Quilts=Art=Quilts 2019 continues on exhibition at the Schweinfurth Art Center in Auburn, New York until 5 January 2020. Juried by Claire Benn and Petra Fallaux, features 73 quilts from 64 artists including my artwork Integrifolia #3: Stops and Starts.
When your work is “working” a long way from home, and you cannot attend the exhibition in person, it is easy to become disassociated so I am grateful that both the gallery and online friends have shared images.
First up, it was fun to see this installation shot in the banner image on the gallery’s website. My work is the red and green piece on the left hand side and plays nicely with its graphic, predominantly black and white neighbours.
Then this Quilts=Art=Quilts 2019 slideshow gives a good overview of the exhibition but unfortunately does not provide any artist credits. (There is an artist listing on the Schweinfurth website but viewers cannot easily match work to their makers.)
Nancy Gillooly saw my plea for images on the Quiltart Facebook group and kindly sent through these photos that include the artwork of Hope Wilmarth of Spring Texas, Margaret Black of Boswell Pennsylvania and fellow Australian Jeanne Treleaven of Adelaide.
You can read more background to this artwork in my blog post: Integrifolia #3 at Golden Textures.
