Dandelion Decisions

31 October 2007 Filed Under: Twelve by Twelve

With the revelation of the dandelion challenge quilts on the Twelve by Twelve blog today, it was time to make a decision from the contenders:
Make a Wish by Brenda Gael Smith Dandelion Meadow by Brenda Gael Smith Piece de Resistance by Brenda Gael Smith
I like each of Make a Wish and Dandelion Meadow but Piece de Resistance prevailed.

Oh, wow! I’m not sure how you could choose, they are all wonderful. I think Make A Wish is my favorite. I’m enjoying watching all of you unveil your projects, and find myself wanting to make a dandelion quilt too!

Geez. You made THREE! And I like all of them, although I do think your shibori piece is my favorite. The middle one is an interesting take on what I tend to associate as your key design style: geometric, simple but not simplistic, bands of solid color…and the stitching adds a nice touch.

I hadn’t made it over here before to see your other quilts. I love the color in Dandelion Meadow and the childhood memories of Make a Wish.
