Never Say Never

14 October 2007 Filed Under: Technique:Dyeing, Twelve by Twelve

Evidence that one should never say never. Having once sworn off shibori, here are some dandelion inspired pieces I made yesterday:
Macquarie Shibori Dandelion Row Simple Dandelion
Diagonal Dandelions Offset Black Offset Blue
I have another more complex piece that I may use for the Twelve by Twelve challenge. The only problem is that I haven’t yet worked out the best way to quilt shibori pieces.

    Dear Brenda,

I like these pieces but I can see your dilemma with quilting it is a challenge but I am sure you’ll come up with just the right approach, I hope we get to see the finished article.

these are freaking awesome… a little more hippie styled but brilliant- captures the reckless abandon dandylion heads perfectly. 🙂

This is a wonderful interpretation. How about shashiko inspired quilting to go with shibori inspired flowers?

These are lovely! I’m glad you gave this a try again and reposted the link to Erica’s directions. I will try shibori one of these days and look forward to trying it…not in time for “D-day” though! As always, I’m inspired by what you’re up to…

They’re beautiful! They’re not exactly the same as my dried dandelions, but… let’s say they’re close relatives!
    🙂
