Last year I was engaged by NZ Quilter magazine to put together a website gallery showcasing the Made in New Zealand II exhibition, a collection of 43 quilts curated as an invitational exhibition for the 15th European Patchwork Association exhibition in France in 2009.
The quilts have now returned to New Zealand and will be exhibited at Northart Gallery, Norman King Square, Ernie Mays Street, Northcote, Auckland until 31 January 2010.

Check out my web design services if you are interested in establishing or enhancing your online presence.

It’s been a long time since I last presented myself for a job interview but, when I did, it was rather nerve wracking. Anyone considering changing jobs or returning to the paid workforce would benefit from independent, honest and practical advice on preparing a resume and application letter along with some practical interview coaching. Kate Oszko from Brisbane, Queensland offers these services and it’s been my pleasure to help her set up a simple website to promote her new business - Career Smart:

If you would like assistance in establishing an online presence, feel free to contact me to discuss my website development and design services.

Made in New Zealand II is the largest collection of New Zealand quilts ever assembled to travel overseas. The exhibition was curated by Anne Scott, editor of New Zealand QUILTER magazine, and showcases the talents and diversity of New Zealand quiltmakers and will be on display at the 15th Carrefour Européen du Patchwork in Ste Marie-aux-Mines from 17-20 September 2009.
A full colour, bi-lingual (French and English) catalogue is available from New Zealand QUILTER and it has been my pleasure to put together this online gallery which contains detailed artist statements in French and English.

It has been my pleasure for the past while to work with Sue Dennis in redesigning her website to showcase her extensive portfolio of art quilts. I encourage you to take a look around and then pop over to Sue’s blog to leave a comment. You might even win a 12 month subscription to Get Creative magazine.

In the wake of the devastating bushfires in Victoria, some of which still burn out of control, many fund raising projects are underway. The Australian Red Cross has stated that money is what is needed most and has set up the Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009.
Sitepoint, Melbourne publishers of excellent geeky and instructive web design and project management books, is offering five books (in PDF format) for the price of one (US$29.95) and is donating 100% of the proceeds to the Red Cross appeal. The Five for One Offer ends on Friday 13 February.
There are 26 titles to choose from and this is what I selected for my US$29.95:
1. The Principles of Beautiful Web Design
2. Build Your Own Database Driven Website Using PHP and MYSQL
3. The Photoshop Anthology
4. Everything You Know about CSS is Wrong!
5. Build Your Website the Right Way Using HTML and CSS
If the offer is not for you - please consider a donation to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.

The gallery pages of the MY PLACE contemporary art quilt exhibition website have now been updated to feature thirty striking quilts from South Africa. Spread the word! I can’t wait to see these quilts, along with the others from New Zealand and Australia, at the Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne next year (where I also happen to be teaching if you are interested in joining one of my workshops). Also if you would like to add a MY PLACE button to your blog or website, here is the code.

As always, please do not hesitate to e-mail me if you require assistance with the button code or if you notice something is not working on the website.
