There are more than 170 Banksia species native to Austalia and, for week 38, it’s high time this plant is featured in my weekly art project. Out and about on my daily walk, I found this beauty with russet cones:
Back home, I did a quick sketch on my iPad with with the Sketchclub app. I use the 1024×1024 pixel template and is appears on my screen at very close to 6x6in:
Once translated into fabric, the zig zag stitch enhances the texture of the cones:
