It’s Week 31 and local bird life again inspired my textile sketch for my self-guided weekly art project. I don’t see king parrots very often but when I do, I usually find them munching on the neighbour’s overgrown weed patch. Here’s a video from a while ago:
And here’s a photo of a king parrot that joined us for dinner one evening. (Much better behaved than the kookaburra that once flew off with the Laundry King’s steak!)
Their complementary green and red plumage is eye-catching:

Oh, the piece inspired by the parrot is just wonderful! Of course, his colors get most of the credit, but you captured him and his saucy attitude well.
