Three days ago I slipped into the wormhole that is the selection process and started my review of the 104 entries for a matter of time. I will share more about this process later. In the meantime, I can report that my shortlist currently stands at 40 or so works. Reducing this to 32 is the hardest part. As I audition the different possible combinations to create a cohesive exhibition, I am reminded of the sliding square puzzle. Except that, just as I think I have the best order, I realise that there are fabulous spare squares on the table that I can swap out. In an alternate universe, it would be possible to fit all the squares in the available space but that is not an option. Back to the tardis to work this one out.
