All textile and mixed media artists are invited to submit entries for Art Quilt Australia 2015 presented by Ozquilt Network Inc and the National Wool Museum. Here are some key details:
- you don’t have to be a current OZQN member (if you reside in NewZealand or Australia);
- you can submit up to three entries;
- there is no theme requirement so you are free to submit your best available work;
- minimum perimeter 300cm; maximum height 200cm;
- juried exhibition – SAQA executive director Martha Sielman is one of the jurors;
- your artwork doesn’t have to be made from wool but, if it is, it may be eligible for the $3000 acqusitive Wool Quilt Prize;
- ALL quilts are eligible for a $3000 Award for Excellence;
- there a $500 Artist Development Award for artists that are 35 years or less or have been exhibiting in a gallery setting for less than two years;
- you can offer your work for sale – the National Wool Museum is only charging $50 commission; and
- the exhibition runs for 7 weeks.
