It’s nearly three weeks since I decided I would try and complete an entry for for the Carrefour Européen du Patchwork/ European Patchwork Meeting 2014 contest- Imagine. Although this hasn’t been the only project I’ve been working on, it has been quite intense. In case you missed them, here are my previous posts about the process of creating Dreaming in Colour :
- 5 June: Concept design
- 6 June: Introducing Triangles
- 9 June: Taking Shape
- 10 June: Update from the Rainbow Room
- 12 June: Let the Quilting Begin
- 19 June: Quilting in Progress
- 23 June: Approaching the Finish Line
The closing date for entries is 26 June but I got mine in today. Here are some photos of the completed work:
Statement: With imagination comes the gift of dreaming. When I close my eyes, colours and patterns dance across my vision and anything seems possible.
Materials & Techniques: Cottons hand dyed by the artist. Freeform piecing and machine quilting.
Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to see things are going. The next step is for the jury of three (Olga Prins Lukowsky, Dr. Marina Blumin and Maryline Collioud-Robert) to review the entries. I should know by 16 July whether my work is selected. Just imagine!

I’ve really enjoyed following along with your process. I think process blog entries are my fav- you learn so much from reading people’s thoughts and decisions on their designs.
