The top of Dreaming in Colour is complete!
Then I delved into the fabric mountain to find a suitable backing. I like my backings to relate to the front in some way and the motif on this fabric (Flutter Bright by The Woodrow Studio) has a familiar feel:
However, I had more meterage of this firefly fabric:
Now it’s time to start quilting. The window sill is loaded up:
And if I run out of cottons (my preferred thread), I am determined to start using these Madeira rayons that I won as a quilt show prize a few years ago:
My original plan was to incorporate some cross-stitch hand work but now I am not so sure. I have pulled out some perle threads and will do some auditioning first. Stay tuned.

too funny…I too won some Madeira threads a few years ago(but not as many as you!) and have yet to try them. I am curious as to how you like them once you start using them.
Love your choice of yarns etc for the handwork too.
