“Immersed in Art Quilting” - that’s the title to my four page profile article that appears in the Modern Quilts magazine and it’s certainly an apt description of what I’ve been doing this week as I complete a project for a looming deadline: 
My shipment of the Modern Quilts Magazine and DVD arrived yesterday so I took some hand sewing and watched the DVD for the first time. Gulp. When I was a lawyer, I hated hearing my voice my on my dictaphone. Adding a video dimension is ever more nerve-wracking but I am really happy with the results of the Quilters Companion production team and hope that the step-by-step guide to improvising using stacks of solids encourages other quiltmakers to put aside their rulers and experiment with free form cutting.
