With a recent family bereavement, it’s not surprising that I’ve been reflecting on what I’d leave behind if I should happen to die today. I’m not talking about what is my “legacy”? although that is an interesting question too. Rather, I’m talking about the more humdrum practical details of sorting out personal affairs following the death of a loved one. I have an up-to-date will that addresses some issues such as my home and my investments but that still leaves a lot of other “stuff”:
- what will happen to my stash and my art supplies?
- what about my quilts, photos and letter archives?
- are all my financial records in a fit state for third party viewing or does that proverbial shoebox need sorting?
- then there’s my online life – where are my passwords and account details for my blogs, websites, Facebook, Google, Flickr, Yahoo, PayPal etc? Do I need a blogging will? and is there a last post message that I would like to share?
You may have a loose plan for your life but do you have any kind of plan in place if you shuffle off this mortal coil?
PS: If I die today, I will leave behind a very messy studio!

I have thought about this a lot over the past few years. My stash is taken care of. My best friend knows that she has to deal with all of it. I have a password list for my husband but I still need to write out specific instructions about what to post on my blog and other places and how to shut down my internet presence. I still have a lot of work to do in that area!

They are very valid points Brenda & now you have me thinking about something I never considered about blogging. Thanks.
