Highways and byways

After 10 days or so of exploring and teaching in South Australia, I made it back home shortly after midnight. There’s much unpacking, sorting and grocery shopping to attend to - not to mention reviewing the laser draft of the Twelve by Twelve book (be still my beating heart!) - but I hope to be in a position to resume more regular blogging again.

For now, I leave you with this small study by Jeanne Treleaven. Jeanne was a student in my Stacks of Improvisation class at the Australasian Quilt Convention earlier this year. She also attended a Oil Stick Intensive workshop with Sue Dennis. Taking some black and white units from exercises in my workshop, she applied colour and texture with rubbings and stitching.

  1. How wonderful to see out 2 workshops combined Brenda in such a great art piece! Hi Jeanne, it reminds me of ‘highways & byways’.
