Free as a butterfly?

I’m not home-free yet but I am feeling considerably lighter knowing that some deadlines and commitments are out of the way. Phew! This unusual butterfly was outside my studio the other day. Are there any lepidopterologists out there that can tell me what it is?

  1. Hi Brenda,
Your little visitor is not a butterfly, it is a moth. It’s from the Dayflying Moths family, and it’s proper scientific name is Agaristidae Agricola Donovan. It is very beautiful.
