Eco Colour by India FlintOne of the most beautiful books in my collection is Eco Colour - botanical dyes for beautiful textiles by India Flint.

I heard India speaking in a radio interview yesterday and, while looking up a link to put in this post, found this link to an even better video clip.

India has some workshops coming up in 2010. If you are a tiny bit intimidated by some of the techniques, here’s an opportunity to learn from an expert.

*Not all of the techniques in the book require you to boil fabrics and leaves over an open fire!

  2. I’ve had my eye on this book but wasn’t sure about it. I’ll have to put it back on my wish list now.

  3. Thankyou so much for the link. I recently received this book as a gift from my son for Christmas. It is one of the most beautifully produced books I have seen and is an absolute pleasure to hold and browse (and hopefully use at a later date).
