Four Fantastic Quilt Finishing Techniques DVD

Issue#37 of Quilters Companion magazine goes on sale this week. Inside there is a detailed article and Australian readers* will find an instructional DVD on four quilt finishing techniques:

  • continuous mitred binding;
  • facing finish;
  • pillow case with "escape hatch";and
  • satin stitch/zig zag edging.

I have not-so-fond memories of struggling with bindings when I first started quilting (I was using slippery satin blanket binding - what was I thinking!). My fervent hope is that this article and DVD will assist you in selecting and executing a quilting finish to complement your quilt to let it shine!

*My understanding is that the DVD is not usually distributed outside of Australia but overseas readers can still purchase a copy via the Australian website by sending an e-mail order.

  1. Hey! Brenda,

    How absolutely wonderful I cant wait for my copy to arrive. I have mastered continous mitred binding, and it is due to you. I found a link a long while back ( at least i think it was your site); I would also like to master the other ways of binding, and it is so informative to have a DVD.

    Congratulations on being in Quilter’s Companion!
