This year, the Australasian Quilt Convention is at a new venue - the heritage Royal Exhibition Building. I didn’t have much chance to take artful photos but this gives you some idea:

Unfortunately the MY PLACE quilts are still in transit and not on display. Very disappointing :-( but there are many, many other wonderful quilts to see. Special congratulations to Denise Sargo of NSW and Jocelyne Leath of WA who were awarded first prize and runner up in the AP&Q AQC challenge.

  1. Brenda,

Thanks for the pic. grew up in Melbourne knew this building very well. So disappointing for everyone that the My Place exhibition has not arrived.

  2. Brenda,
I’ve just come home from the AQC and how great it was to see your quilts “in the flesh” so to speak, in the tutors display. It’s great when one follows a blog and sees work develop, to then be able to see that work close up. I just loved “Grass”

    cheers,
    Karen
