I ama great fan of Aboriginal bark paitings ( I was abel to see some great one sin the Musee Quai Branly in paris recently). I have been wondering why I never see Australian Quilts in similar styles and why the quilters featured in Australian magazines aer all white. Are there any quilters working in similar ways? Or indeed are there any well known Aboriginal quilters? Do you know?
