I’ve completed all the piecing (please ignore the chopped of points) and quilting (yes, I know meandering shows a lack of imagination but I wasn’t looking to make a statement here). Although it’s time consuming, the red mitred binding really finishes the placemats off nicely:

  1. Lovely placemats. The red binding does indeed frame the piece nicely. One of my biggest headaches is chopping off points…it always seems like it should be so easy. Ha! At the bottom of my someday I will finish pile of stuff is a large number of half square triangles that just do not want to line up properly.
